Square 1 mod Idea

I just started learning how to solve a square 1, and came up with an idea for a cool mod for someone to try. It will result in a barrel-like puzzle, and would probably be solved just like a square 1. You will need to know/have recources to do 3-d plastic printing/molding and 24 Square 1 edges, as well as a square 1 core, screw, spring. All you have to do is make a copy of the middle layer pieces, but make them rounded so that they form a circle. then, take all of the corners of the square 1 out, replace with edges, and sticker appropriately. I can't do molding or 3-d printing orders, which is why I didn't make one myself.I'm not familiar with the cost of plastic pieces, so I'm not sure how expensive it will be.

I would appreciate it if anyone who made this linked to this thread and/or said that it was my idea.

I am using a mine weilong a friend gave to me for OH, and want to switch to a more modern, full sized cube. Should I get a valk for OH or wait for the GTS V2? My main already has N52 magnets that make it near-unusable for OH, so that's a bit out of the question.
