square 1 method

Jason's method is not the best... period. Tim Sun has a better LBL method if you are into that kind of thing, but Vandenbergh has proven to be the fastest so far. You don't need to learn anything close to all the algs. I average under 22 and only know about 25 algs in total.

Well, parity algs are no fun anyway.

Parity algs can be fun.

I dont thinks so, it they take me like 10 seconds. If yours are like sub 5 or sub 4 they could be fun.

And what is Tim's method? So far, I learned Jason's method simply because I only need 3 algs to solve it. (U, J, and parity.) What is the fastest method that requires less than 8 algs?

For Edge permutation, the important ones are adjacent/adjacent, opposite/opposite, and parity. For corners, learn N/J, J/J, and J alone.

It's not too difficult to learn all the CP algs, I'd suggest learning all of them. Work your way up to the algs on Dan's page. (danrcohen.com)
