Here a few questions about technique I have:

- I assume when I solve the cube I need to keep my hands close to the timer?
- Good posture is important I assume?
- Thumb for F and F' is good or bad? I'm not sure...
- Bending the finger while I turn the face (not keeping it straight) is the correct technique?

- As long as you stop the timer properly, it doesn't really where your hands are during the solve
- As long as you're comfortable, your posture doesn't matter too much. But I guess sitting straight may help you stay focused/look ahead
- Most people (including really fast cubers) use thumbs for F/F', as well as index fingers. It depends on the moves or algorithm: The T-Perm (R U R' U') R' F R2 (U' R' U') (R U R' F') is best done with index fingers for the F, but the Y-Perm F (R U' R' U') (R U R' F') (R U R' U') (R' F R F') is probably best done with thumb for the last F', and index fingers for everything else.
TL;DR it depends and it's ultimately up to you
- Yes, flicking the faces is basically what fingertricking (turning fast) is.
Still confused? Feel free to ask, and check out this video on holding the cube/turning the faces:

1. No not extremely but naturally at the end of the solve people's hands gravitate towards the timer. Big cubes especially. People mostly solve under the table, and bring it up. Example:
2. Not unless you're Feliks
3. Depends on the alg, and how it flows. If it's faster for you, use it!
4. Yes

I was wondering if it was more efficient to keep my hands near the timer rather then move them away and back to the timer. But thank you for the advice. I watched the whole video as well.

Okay, thank you for the advice. I'm not sure what you mean about "Not unless you're Feliks" though.

Feliks Zemdegs is known for his perfectly straight posture
