Doesn't everyone hate the "noncuber stare" that people give you when you speedcube in public? I'm wondering how many of you actually do cube in public, and where. Also, do you like the attention, or hate it? ;)

I usually solve one-handed because I want to improve at it and you can do other things while solving. I don't like people staring at me but when people ask or comment I kindly talk to them. I don't cube in public currently because it's so damn cold now, brr!

I cube in public sometimes. The longest time I spent cubing in public was solving my 4x4 while walking towards a restaurant. Other times I cube in public is while waiting in waiting rooms. (docter's offices, car tuners, etc.)

I cube in school during most of the classes and on the way to and from school, the teachers don't seem to mind at all for some weird reason.

Nobody seems to notice me when I cube in public, probably because everyone is interested in something else. Thus, I'm not really scared to cube in public. I sometimes cube during dinner time, and most of the time it gets confiscated:(.

I do cube in public sometimes, like when I'm waiting at the doctor's office. I guess the staring doesn't exactly bother me though I prefer not drawing attention. But I think I get more stares from the kids rather than the adults which is fine. What makes me self-conscious is just me worrying that people think I'm showing off when I'm merely cubing for enjoyment and to pass the time. So it bothers me less if I start cubing when there's nobody around and people just appear because then it should be obvious that I started cubing not to impress anybody. Yeah... I think I'm weird and overthinking the whole thing...

i guess i can understand trying to not look like your showing off, guess i never really think about what other people think, i just cube lol

If I have to wait around in public I pull out my cube and if it seems appropriate, I say "I'm never bored, since I bought this thing."

I think this makes it clear that I'm avoiding boredom rather than showing off, and that I don't mind talking about it.
