So, I have been using Feliks' solve splits tool for CFOP recently: https://www.cubeskills.com/blog/cfop-solve-splits-tool

I decided I wanted something similar for ortega 2x2. I can change the code on the google sheet to fit, and I already made a prototype. I now just need the data for normal splits. Please fill out the google form to help me with this, thanks!

P.S. I'll post the tool here when I'm done with it

If you have already replied to the form before the "speedsolving username" was added to it, please reply and tell me so I can add you to a DM thread with early access! (for confirmation that it's you please tell me your overall mean for your solves that you did for the form)

Sneak peek into the tool with my times entered in:

The Problem is that in normal solves you usually don't know the split times.

In 3x3 I could give you a lot of data from my smart cubes, but in 2x2 there are not many smart cubes,
So the only chance to know the splits is to analyze some movies in slow motion.

I don't do that and I think most of the others do that neither.

Cstimer has a feature called multi-phase where you can press every time you finish a certain split. You can get all your information from there

Settings --> timer --> multi-phase

imagine if you average 1.01 and hitting space bar like crazy

Okay, I submitted splits, but I deleted the cstimer session, and I don't remember the average. I know the mean would be somewhere in between 7.5 and 8.5 seconds (I think mid to low 8s) and I submitted the form on January 30th a few seconds before 9:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (GMT -0500).

I feel like splitting for 2x2 would be quite hard for anyone decently fast (even my ~4.2 average, which is far from being actually fast); the pauses between each step and distraction would probably significantly impact my time (maybe end up averaging like 5)
yeah is not practicall at all. maybe it's better using a smart cube or filming it and manually extracting the data
