If the centers are rounded then it was probably made within the last year or 2. Rubik's Studio had been previously making them with flat centers. I'm pretty sure they made the switch last year (when I bought mine, possibly from the same seller as you since there aren't too many that sell these on Ebay) but it could have been made sooner. BTW I'm assuming you are talking about the 3x3? Beyond that there are no other names or classifications for it. There are basically modern versions of the Cubes that were produced in Hungary the 80's.

You'd need to post some pics... but basing on who you bought it from I'd say it's genuine. Not all 80's cube are built alike.

You'd have to post some photos of your cube so I can see what you're talking about. I'm not sure what 80's cube you are talking about. The cubes in the 80's were produced in numerous different countries and many had slight differences in the cubes. Even the cubes made in Hungary by Politoys in the 70's and 80's went thru a few revisions in cube structure and molding. You bought you're cube from the same ebay seller I did. I'm sure my cube is not fake.

Great pics! Thanks for posting them. Your cube looks identical to mine. I'd say you have a genuine Rubik's Studio cube. If you still aren't convinced, look up some Studio cube pics off the internet, yours looks exactly like those.

Use alpha small washer and put on spring end to prevent major wear on the centerpiece\
