I'm looking for a Snake. I have a normal size and a pocket size snake. Both are remakes and really good for speed snaking. But the large one is a little clumpsy and the pocket size is too tiny. But I know there was a mid size snake in the 1980's and that size would be perfect I think.
Anyone got one for sale?
It does not matter if it's really crappy or even broken, I only need the parts for another remake so I go for the cheapest and crappiest I can get as long as all parts are still there.
I take it apart and put a flexible string in it instead of the rivets + O-rings. the string I use is of the type we use to keep our underwear up in place but quadrupled. In the pocket size I used a smaller string but of the same type and only double. (The largest snakes - light brown/dark brown ones from the 80's are made like that from scratch but those are far to big for speed)
Edit: forgot, the tension of the string is wery important, my large snake is a little loose and I made one for my brother that I tensed a little (just a little) harder and that one is really stiff and not good at all (it's not just the tension, mine was wery used when I remade it but my brothers was brand new = the plastic pieces in mine are broken in but his are not at all).
BTW: my normal size snake is the fastes in the world because Johannes used it when he set his current WR single "It's almost as good as my old (broken now) one"
