Silicone stains

Hey guys , I used CRC Heavy Duty Silicone Spray on my cube and it left it with loads of white stains that cannot be washed/wiped off. What is the cause of this and how do I remove the stains? Thank you.

This happened on my Maru 3x3, it's nothing to worry about, as I'm pretty sure it doesn't affect solving. I don't know a pracitcal way to remove the stains though.

It doesn't effect speedsolving but it makes my pieces look dirty. :/

It could be due to the aerosol from the CRC bonded with the black color and bleached it. People ask if some sprays can harm cube plastic... yes, in a way they can.

this happens to every cube i put crc in, and its completely fine. The "stains" aren't really stains, they go away as the crc wears away.

You can easily scrape away the "stains", but you're probably removing the silicone in the process...
