Answers for your questions are in description, always read it.

Description of the ShengShou:
* Mechanism: A "ShengShou" version of the MF8 v2.
* Tensioning: A good tension is when the screwheads are like 1-2 mm higher than the screw pipe
* Lubrication: I like a high viscosity lube as base, and then a low viscosity lube to add the last bit of speed.
* Stickers: Good, size, MF8 colour scheme (slightly different nuances for some colours), and mirrored..... It's possible to swap the stickers however

*Modifications?: The Pochmann mod (apply the same strategy to the corners, http://www.stefan-pochmann.info/spocc...), just like the Meffert's megaminx needed, it's very good! you will be surprised how well that mod works on this megaminx

*Is it better than Dayan?: Modded, yes, unmodded, no.
*I'm a beginner, I don't have time to mod it...: Get a ShengShou, it's still worth it, you need to adjust and tension both Dayan and ShengShou anyway.
*I'm good at mega, but I don't have time to mod it...: Ask your wallet, but Dayan is better in this case.
*I'm a dedicated megaminxer!: Get the ShengShou straight away and mod it, I think it's worth it.

I was playing w/ SS mega yesterday and I am going to buy it, it's amazing, but I will have to buy MF8 tiles, too ;/
Why SS and Dayan produce megaminxes w/o tiles...

Not all Shengshou megaminxes got with the mirrored scheme. Mine came just fine.

Well, it's ShengShou... half is mirrored, the rest is fine, but better tell people it's mirrored, then they can only get happily surprised when they receive it
