Hello guys i was wondering if there was any way i could set up a rubiks cube competition at a local college. There are only 2 competitions that i am able to go to because they are the only ones in my area. I was wondering if there were was any way i can try to create one. I dont work at this college, nor go to this college. Im just trying to get ore competitions because they are fun! Thanks guys.

Why would any of us have a clue? No one knows where this college is, which college it is, how to contact that college, or any other details that would be absolutely essential to even begin to answer your question. Have you bothered trying to ask the college?

as Dene said we can't help that much although I do suggest contacting a WCA delegate(their listed on the WCA website) to see if they would be willing to go to comp so it could be official

Alright..i was just wondering if i was even able at all to make it possible, or if WCA just does it themselves. Im going to try contacting the college, and WCA. If you want i will tell you the name of the college.

I do hope for your sake, though, that the college is not in the Northeast USA. If it is, and you ask Bob Burton, he will say no.

Bob, the college is in the Northeast..what do you say? Can I? =D

How many competitions have you been to? Have you helped run it in anyway (scramble, judge, etc.)? Why should he delegate this for you? And what college? Is it close to Bob, or 3 hours away?
I REEEAAALLLYYY doubt he'll do it. Not to say don't try, since I would probably go to a North-East comp

Its in MA. I have not helped run at any of the but at the next one i think i will. Really there isnt a specific reason why you should delegate this for me, i was just asking some qeustions and hoping for support

Dont get me wrong, two competitions is great. I and probably many others, are dedicated, aspiring cubers that want to go to more competitions because its what there good at. There fun, exciting, and one of the things im good at and i want to have a surplus of it. I know thats greedy and some people dont even get to have competitions.

LOL. I'll let Tim make the call on this one. But between MIT and Harvard, that's 4 competitions per year. I don't really think MA needs any more competitions.

I didn't know I said anything funny. Thanks for your help. If you don't feel that MA needs another one, then let's not even ponder that anymore.
