Im selling a bunch of old and rare experimental cubes from Chris Tran, as im no longer cubing. I can't explain all the chemical processes and i doubt any of us would understand them lol, so i've gone more by feeling. They're all 4-7 years old, but have been kept in excellent condition and sparingly used, so i doubt theres anything like them available anywhere.
Pricing is based on the extreme rarity, and not sure if this is allowed to say, but the money "might" be going towards a charity

Old plastic dayan coated gts2m
Original old plastic dayan coated gts2m from Chris Tran’s Angstrom Research collaboration with The Cubicle in 2018-2019. Very smooth to turn and not too fast. Stickerless with a stickered angstrom logo on red side. Very good condition. Price is 135.
Polymer coated gts2m
Original polymer coated gts2m from Chris Tran’s Angstrom Research collaboration with The Cubicle in 2018-2019. Very slightly more controlled than the dayan coated one, also extremely smooth to turn. Stickerless with a stickered angstrom logo on white side. (No good picture of internals, as it was harder to take apart, and didn’t wanna chip the coating). Very good condition. Price is 135.
Polymer 2 coated gts2m
Experimental/updated version of the original polymer coated gts2m. Slightly more controlled than the original polymer coating. First turns feel “sticky” but then it becomes extremely smooth. Coating is very detectable. Can be broken in and set up to fit your preferences. Stickerless with no logo. Great condition. Price is 135.
MF Cube 2021
Very customized cube from Chris Tran’s independent project in 2021. Not to be confused with his newly launched Mezzoforte project. Features a 13% weight reduction, blue speed coating on edges, glow in the dark engraved logo and crisp feeling from modified friction profile. Extremely smooth to turn. Again no good picture of internals, as i didnt wanna chip the blue speed coating. Price is 125.
Aero coated valk power m
Very niche project from Chris Tran. Very detectable coating and it feels extremely smooth to turn. The coating has a distinct blue color. Very controlled / not that fast, but will be insane once it's broken in and lubed up. Stickerless with no logo. Very good condition. Again didn’t wanna chip the coating, so no good photo of internals. Price is 135.
Gamma treated yj mgc
One of Chris’ older experiments. Unlike a coating, the gamma treatment seeps into the plastic and is more permanent that way. Makes for quieter and softer, almost “sticky” cube. Gamma treatment reacts differently with different cubes, and this one is slower, but still extremely smooth. It can be lubed up / broken in, so it fits your preferences. Black with stickers, very slight marks on the red stickers, but other than that it’s in great condition. Price is 145.
Gamma treated huanlong m
Same treatment as the yj mgc. With this one, the treatment has reacted slightly differently, and it’s faster, but still pretty controlled. Extremely nice to turn. Stickerless with an scs logo on the white side. Very good condition, no marks. Price is 145.
Short ester blend gan 356 sm
Very niche project from Chris Tran. It’s a “short ester blend” coated gan 356 sm. Very soft to turn and pretty controlled. Not as fast as the polymer coated one, but faster than the “polymer 2” coated one. Coating has a gray/purplish color. White with stickers and different color scheme (blue is on the left of red, opposites are still normal. Has an Angstrom Research sticker on the red side. Very good condition. Price is 170.
Hard-soft coated gan sm
Another very niche project by Chris Tran. Extremely soft and quiet. Very controlled, and needs to be broken in / setup if you want a faster cube. One of the slower options, but has an insane feel. Coating is very detectable, despite not being very visible. Couldn’t get a good picture of the internals. Black with stickers, and black stickers instead of yellow. Very good condition. Price is 170.
Lubicle black coated gts2m
Along with different polymer coatings and chemical treatments, Chris has also experimented with permanent coatings of lube. This is one of them. Extremely rare project. The coating will chip easily, but it has been used sparingly and kept securely, so there’s still pretty much all of it left. Feels extremely soft to turn and is pretty fast, around the same speed as the cubicle- dayan and polymer coated ones. Stickerless and very good condition. Price is 125.
