I recently got one white Rubik's.com DIY, and one black Rubik's.com DIY

I was aware that the center caps would fall off, but I planned to do what everyone else did to fix.
Problem: What does everyone else do?
Several people have mentioned on various post what they recommend or what they have done, but no details, so I wasn't exactly sure how to go about everything.

I've heard:

Put a piece of paper under the cap: I have no idea why this work. I've tried it and it didn't really do anything.

Superglue: I've never read details on what exactly was done, but putting a small amount of superglue on them helped.

Keep note that I want to be able to take the caps off if I need to make any adjustments...

I've applied a small amount of superglue to the center caps and glued them on... After a very short time to let it somewhat dry, I removed the center caps with minor stuggle (most of the time <_______<).
After seeing that I could take them off, I put them back on, and they actually stayed on without falling! This worked out (after some problems) for my White DIY, until this morning when the Red kept falling off again. All of the other caps can still be removed with ease, but do not fall off.

I retried my superglue tactic on the red, but I could not get it back off like before, despite not letting it sit for too long.
I might get it off eventually, but it will be harder than any others I've done...

This is also the main problem on the Black DIY. The idea worked at first, but they kept falling off anyway, so i had to try again. They are now stuck on as well.

It's so risky working with superglue...

I also tried tape, but the space to fit in is so small that it's just too hard to get things to work!

To all Rubik's DIY owners, what have you done and how did you do it?

This cube is awesome, but the caps issues and taken up hours of my time, and are very frustrating to keep dealing with!

So from here I may just try hard to remove them one last time, and then adjust the cube to be exactly how I want it, and permanently glue the caps on.

Time consuming, stressful, and annoying.
How could such a good speedcube have such a horrible downside?

put paper uder the cap ( a big sheet ) put the cap on and rip out excess paper hanging out.

Already tried, failed.
But when I tried there was no excess paper, I cut out enough to fit under the cap if that makes a big difference.

STATUS UPDATE: I easily removed all of the caps on the Black DIY, and they do not stay one when speedsolving, so it's somewhat of a 'fresh' start.

I easily removed all but one of the caps on the White DIY, those 5 DO stay on when speedsolving. :) Crazy red...

What if I were to put around the screw, and since the screw is protected by the raised part of the center, the blu-tack wouldn't get on it.
And then raise the tack up enough to stick to the cap?

Until I get some of that though, I'm going to try construction paper as opposed to printer paper (I folded it to make it thicker though).

BLACK DIY:
All caps off, I'll try this.

WHITE DIY: 5 caps are fine, removable but don't fall off. That Red might not be coming off for awhile...

When I used paper on my Rubik's diys, eventually, after probably a month and a half, the paper would get weak again. What I do now is I place a very, very small amount of super glue on two opposite corners of the caps with a needle. I've never had them fall out this way, and if I needed to I could always just pull the cap off with my fingernails.

The only one I used two opposite corners of glue on was the red, which is currently the only stuck. D:
Well previously I had superglued the same cap on one side, but it wasn't enough and it was falling off, which led to me using superglue on two corners.

This is hardest cap I've had to pull off!

I put a piece of tissue as seen in the photo and my center caps usually never fall ;)

Works 100x better than regular paper!

I used toilet paper though, so in a competition I can wipe the floor with competitiors. ;)

EDIT: You've made some great contributions since you've joined, which was very recent with you only having 2 posts! :P
