Hi all,
So I know that there are some skydivers here (or at least used to be) that have posted on the forums, and I was looking to get a little bit of input.
I am a licensed skydiver with a few hundred jumps, to put this out there.
So, searching around I was able to find a solo skydiver that did a solve back flying in around 50 seconds. I was also able to dig up a clip where someone did so in a rubber boat in about 31 seconds.
So, I did an inquiry with the Guinness Book of World Records, and it seems that they have the official record set at 39 seconds, but they didn't really list any of the stipulations on it.
So my questions are, is the cube able to be tethered to you (I know a couple on this forum have done so with it tethered), at what point does the clock start in the solve itself (aka is it the moment you leave the plane, or when you make your first movement of a side), when would I get to view the cube for inspection (standard 15 seconds or is it scrambled prior to me getting on the plane), and if there is someone here that has done this, was there a specific method that seemed to be easier than another? Past this, is video that I provide adequate or would I need someone to fly outside video and film the solve for me?
A thread from many years ago argued the point of tandem or solo skydiving, mine will be done solo either way.
Thanks for any input!
