Hi all!

I'm a beginner in rubik cubing about 3 weeks and quite interesting in speed cubing. I'm currently doing in roux. the first 3 steps I could go through on my own. But the last one (6E4C), I can't understand what does he mean by the edges are correct or not ?! Could anyone tell me more details about that, please ^^
Thanks

Basically he's trying to say this, I don't know if I'm explaining this well though. If an edge can be moved into its correct place (between the two matching centers) without using F, F', B or B' (hopefully you know notation) then its correctly oriented. He gives some tips on how to figure this out. If you want to just visually imagine moving it to the correct place, you can do that. Otherwise, use his tips by looking at whether a sticker is a top or bottom color for the top left and top right edges. Otherwise, for the other four edges, look at whether the edge matches up to the correct center or the opposite center (the one on the opposite side). I hope that was a bit clearer.

its hard to understand roux withouth video im sure your way of his first 3 steps are diffirent right?

Sorry to bother,

but it still seems a little bit hard to understand :| could you summarise a way to find out whether a piece are correct or not. And I have 4 pictures from his site here(please give a little more detail about those) :

1st one is correct
s4_def_2.gif

2nd is not correct
s4_def_4.gif

3rd is correct
s4_def_1.gif

4th is not correct
s4_def_3.gif

Thanks :)

ps: I couldn't understand the word "facelet" as well. I'm not a good English user. (tried to search in dictionary but doesn't have :)) :P)

Facelet means sticker.

1st is correct because Red is opposite Orange and Blue is opposite Green.

2nd is not correct because Orange is not opposite Blue and Green is not opposite Orange

3rd is correct because yellow is on the front side

4th is not correct because White is not opposite Orange.

Hope that helps.

alright, i got a bit of it.
I have 1 more question:
That's just seeing one piece and find out it is correct or not how about the others 3 edges (in the mid layer). do i just leave it like it is and see? and about the 2 edges in L/R side :-/

recognizing bad edges for roux is simple. first you have to have your centers either oriented or off by an M2. Then just look for opposite colors. so if you solve with orange on top and red on bottom look for red/orange stickers on the U and D faces. if any of the pieces don't have red or orange facing up or down then they need to be flipped.

Ok, now I understood.

I'm now have a little trouble with last part of step 4 :-/, he talks about 3 algs but how could i apply it :-s
