Regarding Stackmat Timer prices

[cubizh]

Given that Speedstacks has a strict policy regarding where they ship their products, and the fact that they have 40 international websites, I've taken the time to go through each of them to check retail prices of Speedstacks PRO timers, corresponding mats (the triditional blue or cheapest, when available) and matching Speedstacks Tournament Displays, so that people could see the differences in pricing all around the world. Please note that you cannot place any online orders to another country if your country is already on the list.

Some notes:

• All values are in $USD (United States Dollar). I converted all to the same currency for better comparison.
• Prices don't include shipping, to my knowledge.
• The real value fluctuates a lot, because I relied on today's currency exchange rates, which can of course vary depending on when you read this thread. So these values are for reference-only.
• Some stores are not specific on what the item includes in their package, and I don't fully read all languages, so I tried to use best judgment given the picture displayed. If you happen to find any blatant mistake, please let me know so I can fix it.

I thought the US prices were extremely over priced and then there is this.

Bored much?

Thanks, quite interesting. I knew about USA and Germany, but not the rest.

[Parity Case]

Unfortunately, it's the shipping that's a killer - to ship just a Stackmat timer (which costs $24.99) to Canada is $38.36.

On top of that, they use UPS, which - unlike using USPS - will lead to the recipient being hit with a brokerage charge and possible more at customs. "Applicable customs charges and a $10 brokerage fee are not included in the above shipping cost."

Bored much?

I thought it would be interesting to share the obscenity (for lack of a better suiting word) with everyone, as I suspect a lot of people didn't know. Didn't take too long thankfully (~1h).

[Bryan Chia]

thanks for sharing Antonio :tu

[AFatTick]

I got my timer for $30 lol
