Reactions from teachers while cubing in class

I have a teacher that thinks that my cube (Valk Power M) sounds like a locust. So when we finish test we can get on the Chromebooks and do whatever and I usually cube, and TWO DIFFERENT times DURING the test he would say VERY LOUDLY "You know when your cat grabs a locust and makes that sound?" and also "Can you hear that moth flying around the room?" I have a Gan 356 Air SM so hopefully he won't say that anymore. Have your teachers had any responses similar to this?

don't
cube
in
class

Your cube may be relatively quiet, but if everyone else is even quieter (which is probably the case, because it's a test), the cubing noise can still be pretty darned annoying.

(e: also I am sort of a hypocrite here and this is making me reevaluate where I do my public cubing, herpderp)

Nobody cares about the sound. It's literally only the teacher. He also doesn't care if I do it in his room as look as we're not don't something.

Nobody cares or nobody says anything? Very different things. It sounds to me like your teacher is being very generous in when he allows you to play with your cube, he just doesn't want you possibly distracting your fellow students during a test. Don't antagonize him: if there's a question about when you can cube, ask politely, and don't argue with the answer.

What I'm saying it he allows me to use it when I'm done with tests, but the first 2 times that I used it I didn't lower my TPS. Also, the people in my class would tell me. They are very loud to say the least.

I'm sorry for being mean to anybody, even if indirectly. I'm not trying to be a jerk. The tests really aren't as serious as I might have made then seen. If it's possible to delete a thread, can you please tell me how?

I think what everyone's getting at here is that you don't want to give everyone at your school the definition
cuber: the kid who's always making that annoying clicky noise in the back of class.
There's a time and place for everything and you should really consider whether the middle of class is really the best situation for your cubes.

Thing is, we never really do anything in there, so there isn't really a "middle of class". He has never gone up to the board and taught us. And even if we are watching a video, I never do it then. I only do it during free time.

I only cube when the noise of other people it > than the noise cubing. Or when everyone else is on their phone, messing around. And I very rarely go full tps. A good idea is to learn algs :)

Good good. I honestly think that you should just think, would I want someone making this much noise right now? If yes, then don't overdue it and enjoy it.
