Basically, I just learnt the method where you complete tredges by turning the E slices, then store them on the U and D faces. What I need help with is if both a centre and an edge are already on one of the E slices, but cannot be put in by just a u, as it would be flipped. What would you do in this situation? I thought about R2 d2 (if the centre is in FL position, and the edge is in FR) but this means the centres are very slightly harder to solve at the end, and sometimes I end up messing them up. I was just wondering if I'm being stupid and there is an easier way, or if that is the only way.

Also, currently with this method my times are slower, as the last tredges take so long compared to if I do 2 at a time (i.e. the first 8 tredges are much faster with this method but that time is lost doing the last 4), will this get better with practice?

Thanks, Chukk

P.S. Anyone know of a printable comprehensive last edges page, or is the only good one http://www.bigcubes.com/5x5x5/lastedges.html

Edit: My times for seperate steps are roughly as follows:
Centres: 1-1:20
First 8 edges: 1:30-1:40
Last 4 edges: 0:50 - 1:10
3x3x3: 0:30 - 0:50 (takes so much longer than my normal 3x3x3 because my cube sucks, sometimes my LL takes up to 20 seconds)
Total: 4:00 - 5:00

Edit2: Thought I'd let you know which parity algs I already use:
r2 B2 U2 l U2 r' U2 r U2 F2 r F2 l' B2 r2 (4x4x4 OLL parity alg)
(Ll)' U2 (Ll)' U2 F2 (Ll)' F2 (Rr) U2 (Rr)' U2 (Ll)2
(r2 U2)*5

You could use an edge flipper, like R U R' F R' F' R, that will preserve your centers. Or you could reassemble the centers, then do your R2 d2. I usually move on to another set of edges until that misaligned one naturally moves into U or D, then put it back in E the right way.

I'm by no means an expert at big cubes, but it does get easier with practice.

I normally do R2 d2 after making sure that the top row of centers and the bottom row match colors (that way, when you do R2, it doesn't matter unless you're solving a super-cube). Then again, I'm not good at 5x5x5, so...

for the last edge the only way to improve it would be to practice and again practice. learning Erik's method which is 2 at a time is also good to use for the last four edges if you experiment with it and like it.

Ok, thanks for the replies everyone, tried everything said and all of the responses have been useful and helped to improve on what I already do. But, I guess as usual, the only way to improve properly is practice, practice, practice!
