Question about learning ZBLL

Right now I use ZZ w/ OCLL and PLL and want to learn ZZ-a. So I was wondering if it's a bad idea to learn COLL and ZBLL at the same time. Like for example, I just learned the H COLL set and instead of going onto Pi I would learn the H ZBLL algs then go to Pi.

So is this a good idea or no? Also how do people recognize the cases?

It's an okay idea.
I learned COLL first.

I recognize ZBLL by:

1. Positioning a corner, then looking at the edge cycle.
2. Looking at blocks of colour.
3. Guesstimating. (Mostly works.)

COLL is just ZBLL minus the edge permutation. The COLL algs are also in the ZBLL set. A big thing about learning ZBLL is recognition. I identify ZBLL cases by COLL case then UF and UR relative to UFR. Seeing the COLL case is second nature for me now and everytime I see the edges oriented in the LL, even for CFOP, I can always identify the COLL case very quickly. So, I would recommend getting COLL down before trying ZBLL.

Basically my thoughts.
