quad cube solved position?

What do you guys think should be the solved position of the quad cube? I've been trying to solve it with all of the cubes all flipped the same way (i.e. white on top and yellow on bottom of all of the cubes) and I found it way to hard. I id it a few times but it was just plain lucky. Do you guys think the solved position should be:
Cubes All Flipped Correctly
or
Cubes Just Solved And They Don't Have To Be Flipped All The Same Way

So what do you guys think?

All the cubes should have the same orientation when it's solved.

There is not a single puzzle that does not require correct orientation in order to be solved. Think of it this way: in option 2 anyone outside of cubing could never tell it is fully solved, so it is not.
