Putting sand in my store bought

Ok. I saw Thrawst's video on how to put sand in my cube. So I did it as an experiment with fine sand. Everything was great except that the core had a lot of sand in it, even the springs. So now i got a horrible core with good cubies. anything i did wrong?

Just solve it, the sand will work its way out.

i used compressed gas to get that stuff out.

first, i lifted up the centre piece (hope you know what i mean), thus reveilng the rivet. try to do this with one hand. (non-dominant.) take your compressed air can (in my case, Dust-Off(tm) ) and spray the heck out of it. hopefully, it gets some stuff out.
