Problem with Dayan master skewb

I think my Dayan master skewb has a problem, or is it just me?

No matter how much I scramble it up, I can never get the corners in the right place and oriented correctly. If I try to place just the corners after scrambling it, one corner (with a tiny, trivial corner) always needs to be rotated counterclockwise.

I just followed instructions here to solve it.
but when I get to the end, I have two adjacent corners that need rotating. Both counterclockwise. I don't think this a possible place to be in in a regular skewb.

So am I caught in some sort of parity that I can't escape from? Our did I drop my master skewb and accidentally knock it into an impossible state?

Thanks.

On a Dayan master skewb only every other "row" is turnable. So since that tiny tip is turnable (which you should be able to see in the picture), the next "level" is not. And on that other corner, the tiny tip is not turnable.
