I did some PLL time attaking because I know it is my biggest weakness while solving the cube. I just wanted to compare it with my 3x3 average.

I had a best PLL attack of 56.78 seconds.
My best average in competition is 14.22 seconds.

Wath are your times and do you feel PLL is a weakness or a strenght for you?

my best pll attack was 55.xx (i dont know how did i do that) normally i get 57-1:00
my best average was 19:36, it is not in competition tho, i never been in a competition

I'm also in your situation..i think i have a slow PLL time attack compared to my average..a good PLL time attack for me would be barely sub-1 while a good average of 12 for me is about low 16s..need to practice my PLLs!

I have only occasionally done PLL time attacks in the past few weeks and I've gotten sub-1:01 once but never sub-1, my avg is 1:05. Also my avg for 3x3 is 20.xx.

I feel PLL is a weakness for me. My time-attack is 43 sec, but normally I get lockups on PLL time attack, and I turn slowly on PLL to not get lockups, so the PLL is slow comparing to the rest of the solve.

I'm pretty fast at PLLs, but suck at PLL time attacks
Average of 12 total: 34.95
Single total: 30.88
I don't know what is my fastest time attack, but it's around 60 seconds, I go over 1:10 most of the time.
Code:
PLL	Single	Best Average
Uccw	0.81	0.92
Ucw	0.94	1.01
H	1.13	1.25
Accw	1.13	1.27
R1	1.14	1.3
J1	1.09	1.31
T	1.11	1.35
Z	1.28	1.37
J2	1.33	1.45
Acw	1.44	1.57
Y	1.41	1.63
R2	1.75	1.85
V	1.63	1.86
G1	1.78	1.93
F	1.83	1.96
N2	1.83	2.06
G1'	1.78	2.1
G2	1.75	2.11
E	1.89	2.16
G2'	1.89	2.23
N1	1.94	2.26

My fastest solving average is around 18 seconds.

My best PLL attack is 43 (and I got a 47 avg12) and my best average is 14.69. I used to be way slower at PLL attacks though, dunno why I'm so much faster now.

fanwuq: For PLL attacks, try turning a bit slower and smoother. You should be able to do around 40-45 seconds with those PLL times, I think maybe you're just going so fast that you get tired way before the end and start locking up a lot.

31.34 pll timeattack and... well id rather not talk about my official average...of 13.30

Really pll recognition is far more important than the actual execution. As long as you practice smooth, consistent turning during pll execution then speed will come naturally. Also, practicing pll recognition takes half as much effort as practicing execution.

BTW about a month ago i spent 2 weeks working my ass of at my plls. My normal average at that point was high 11s/low 12s and afterwards it was still high 11s but with fewer 12s. Since then ive been working my ass off at f2l and recognition in general now im (very happily) back in the 10s:D

I get over a minutes...never have gotten sub-minute (probably since I don't do it that often). I average 15-17 seconds. I prefer OH time attack :P

P.S. - You'd think I am becoming Brian with all this OH I have been doing lately :)

17 sec average of 12 compared to 45 second Pll time attack. I'm slow at recognition and AUF.

I can't do PLL attacks because I don't know all PLL's. So PLL is a weakness for me

*cough* lazy *cough* :p
I prefer the term "otherwise occupied". ;)
I just realised that I have been to more competitions than I know 3x3x3 algs. From now on I will learn at least 1 alg before/during/after every competition
