PLL Skip?

He didn't switch. White DaYan products are made with a higher quality plastic. The white has a little less friction. So in this case, there is a minor difference.

Wait so it would be better to get a white zhanchi instead of a black zhanchi cause white is made better? And he did switch from white to black

I don't see how that's obvious, and I'm not even sure it's true. Please explain.

The color of his cube has nothing to do with his cubing speed. I'm saying that if Feliks used a black cube, he most definitely would still have gotten WR time. After he got WR, everyone started saying "OMG white Zhanchi's must be better since Feliks got his WR with one!" which really isn't true.

I understnad now

How do you know?

I understand where you are coming from on this, Stefan, as I don't truly know. But, I don't think whether he used a white or black Zhanchi would have a very large effect on his recognition and TPS. And I'm very much sure Feliks would be capable of a similar solve on a black cube if he had used one.

But a small one? Then take that, take the butterfly effect into consideration, realize that a small effect might've caused Feliks to choose an entirely different solution, and then he might've gotten an entirely different time.

But do you think color plastic has an effect on the solution of his solve? Though the butterfly effect is reasonable in this situation, I don't believe color plastic has that sort of effect on a solve. Shall we agree to disagree?

I do think it might have, yes. And why not? Solve ten scrambles, then solve the same scrambles again with the same cube, and I'm rather certain you won't repeat all solutions. In that case, of course something other than the cube differs, but it's also small. Small differences can cause different solutions, yes.

Though the butterfly effect is a reasonable example

Huh? It's not an example. (An example of what?)

on the black and white cube thing
i read somewhere on this forum that black is abs plastic w/ other stuff whereas white is usually more pure abs plastic because you can see all the impurities if you use other plastics

just a myth i think though

I agree with Stefan xD that guy is cool xD he doesn't follow the obvious like that StachuK guy xD

Everything makes a difference xD

Ugh, I feel a sudden urge to change my opinion.

I lol'd.

Also, whilst you're right on the very, very technical side of the argument, it's still a matter that really doesn't require much thought.
Indeed, I'm also no trained optometrist, but if one goes for his/her personally preferred colour rather than the other, would the butterfly effect not work in his/her favour?
