Hello everyone. quick question here: In my Yuga-DII cube, I was using it in the car... and oh-so unlucky me had a piece pop out within an hour of getting it, because of a family member. More unluckily, the BACK WINDOW WAS OPEN. It then proceeded to get ran over. :fp

Heres the question: Will a store-bought rubik's cube's piece fit into the slot? Its an edge cubelet that fell out. If not, does anyone here, or anywhere have a replacement piece I could buy?

Thanks guys, hope you can help.

EDIT: using a storebought piece with a Yuga D cube actually works.... tried it, perfect

Sucks to be you.

Look at another edge piece, and if they're reallly close, you can use it (i guess)

Although a store bought cube's pieces might fit on a speedcube, it would probably not work very well at all.
Rubik's brand cubes are definitely not as good as an average speedcube, and one bad piece on a good cube would feel pretty weird.

Also: If an edge piece didn't work very well you could use some sand paper and round it off a bit until it as similar as possible to the rest of the cube.

My only argument would be that you can't adjust the tension which is something I consider a must. Other than that they could definitely be speedcubes.

I once got a 3x3 Tic-Tac-Toe cube, and the day after, I accidentally stepped on it.

The ENTIRE BLOODY CORE broke, along with all the edges, and quite a few of the corners.

Needless to say, I was not happy.

I used a storebought 3x3 at the Melbourne Summer Open. Granted, my best time was just 28.xx, but still! You're right!

similar thing happend to me. But instead i lost the edge in the car. i now use my old cubes for replacement pieaces

LOL
sucks 2 B U

Ummm, I dont think putting a Rubik's edge will work.
It may be uneven on that face and lock up.

Doesn't hurt to try though.
