I'm looking for a Petrus Method Tutorial.
The one on Lars Petrus page is extremely confusing to me and doesn't make any sense what so ever - believe me I tried.

All the video tutortials that have been posted on the speedsolving forums are not available, removed from YouTube for one reason or another.
The few Petrus Tutorials I can find are very confusing, dont go through the neccesary steps too well or are just generally messy and cluttered.

I'm looking specifically for help getting the yellow cross while simotaniously getting the second part of the 2x2x3 block and also the next step which involves flipping the top corners correctly adn orienting them corretly.
I cannot find any list of the algorithms knows as Nicklas, Sune etc.

I would gladly appreciate any help I could get understanding the Petrus Method.
I'm a beginner and I've only used the Fridrich Method.

Thanks.

I just cannot grasp the explination of the good edges/bad edges concept. I really do not understand at all what the h*ck I'm supposed to do.

look for a petrus tutorial, I've heard it's pretty decent...

There are 4 rules that make bad edges a lot easier, while holding your completed 2x2x3 block at the back and your free slices are U and F:

1) If any U colored edges are showing on F they are bad.

2) If any F colored edges are showing on U they are bad.

3) If any U or F edge colors are facing away from their own center piece they are bad.

4) If the D edge colored edge is showing on F its bad.

These are the rules I use in bad edges and over time this step can be sub 2-3s easily depending on the amount of edges. Remember that bad edges come in pairs, 2, 4, or 6 and they can be fixed using any move that brings one bad edge into the other free slice and replaces it with another bad edge then restores the 2x2x3. You can message me on here or aim as well if you'd like.

Sune - R U R' U R U2 R' (Repeat until fish pattern then fish "swims" bottom left always)
Niklas - R U' L' U R' U' L (Put the 2 corners you want to swap on the L slice)
Allan - L2 U' B F' L2 B' F U' L2 (Place the 1 completed slice on R)

Using the above alg's for Petrus last layer is the beginners method for Petrus, eventually 2 look last layer using OLL and PLL is what you want, and with Petrus you save yourself a little bit of agony by only having to remember 7 OLL's (that is the reason you do bad edges in the first place).

After you make a 2x3 block, you try to position all the edges are in the right place and flipped correctly. The ones which are not flipped correctly are "bad edges" and require you to flip them in pairs.

check out the java thing on his site http://lar5.com/cube/fas3.html

As you see, I have gotten roux and fridrich down, I am still helpless on petrus...

Im making a petrus tutorial now.

Why would you make a tutorial for a method you're not really good at or have a lot of experience with? I didn't make any tutorials until I was at least sub 20. I felt as though I didn't have any merit.

Edit: TheLurch summed it up better than anyone has here.
