Is it a good strategy to pause for a minute or so, between each pass so as to give our brain some rest and recollection about the previous pass?

It can be a short mental review happening in our head in an unorganized and skippy fashion, but can be crucial to push the accuracy of the MBLD attempt.
For example, in an old-style attempt we can go to pee between reviews and give a break to the brain. We can give breaks in Pomodoro splits in old-style maybe, 25 minutes of memo+review and then 5 minutes of break (with no distractions)

I don't do blind, so I can't tell about that but from my personal experience I can tell that a person should take a break of 5-10mins. Like when I practice 3x3 or any other cube, I take a break of 5mins after every 30mins.

i find that weird, am i the only person who can sit and do 6+ hours of an event with no break?

A minute is way too long of a break. A big part of MBLD is being able to focus for a long period of time; the longest break I will ever take during an attempt will normally be a swig of water

Sorry for revisiting the topic.

I want to do a ballpark calculation for splits for a 100 cube MBLD attempt
(realistic in the future, most probably not by me since I have many weaknesses and no time or the right practice routine) :

  1. I think 24 seconds 4-pass memo time per cube is achievable
    splits for each pass can be,
    * 10 seconds first pass
    * 8 seconds second pass
    * 3 seconds third pass (without retracing the cube)
    * 3 seconds fourth pass (without interacting with the cube or the pack)

  2. I think 12 seconds exec time per cube is achievable (using full floating 3-style + LTCT + T2C + very small subset of UF5)
  3. There will not be any time for transitions, pauses and recall later for such splits
  4. I do not think 5-pass is possible for 100 cube attempt
  5. Packs of 10, with 5 arranged in one column will be idea according to me
