Paris 2024 Olympic Games thread

Korea has won Women's team archery since it was added to the Olympics. I'm really hoping they don't screw up, so we can enjoy that sweet 10 consecutive wins.

I CALLED IT

[UKCubeFan]

I did archery at uni in first year. No one who sees it on TV will ever know how difficult it is.
GB to win gold in Women's Sculls rowing.

GB to win gold in Women's Sculls rowing.

Just one problem:

Emma Twig

Men’s breaststroke 100 m final was very close, tied second between Gb and USA , 2 hundredths of a second slower than Italy in first

The Women's and Men's Mountain Biking was cool. It was great to see Tom Pidcock take the men's, and Pauline Ferrand-Prevot take the women's race.

IT'S 1AM IN FRANCE - TABLE HASN'T CHANGED.

NadalCaraz it's a thing.

TV commentator axed for saying Australian women were late to the medal ceremony - because they were putting their make-up on.

[UKCubeFan]

All over for today - do we have table update?
Maybe tomorrow's schedule too. Women's double sculls rowing - we totally have that for gold.

[Lord_Oscar]

Awww shucks.

The women’s course was so slippery, I’m amazed more people didn’t crash during the bike leg.

Dang Jakob Ingebrigtsen is cocky. He went into the race saying that it would be a walk in the park to win the Olympic Gold in the 1500 and for his heat he didn't even get into starting position when the gun went off.

[Arcanist]

Crouser wins shot put for the 3rd time in a row. US gets upset in mixed 4x4. Richardson gets 2nd in 100m.

The track has not been good for NZ so far. Looking forward to the sitting-down sports that we’re traditionally really good at.

I'm lazy, so here's a screenshot of the top 5 countries:
