optimal color scheme

I can definitely relate to this problem since I have no ceiling lamp... I'll test some systems.
The HSL and HSB systems are used for color pickers, so they should resemble the human vision. Here's how that'd look in a palette.
The reason it's one palette is because the hue slider is the same.

Okay, what went wrong? I've no idea, let's try to add black and white and see if that makes any difference.

This is "according to" the HSL and HSB systems optimal, if it's as saturated and bright as possible.
I want to try an other system...
The "LAB" system has one slider for brightness, so the other ones can be min/min, min/max, max/min and max/max to create as much contrast as possible.

Or this, I don't know which one's more right, I'm not familiar with the website.

Let's try the Munsell system too.

And

This is what I think makes most sense without using any system.

This is as far as I can come. I'm not that good at this, but it's interesting. Which looks the best?

Edit: Now I realize I could have had my screen at maximum brightness before taking the screenshots :/

I like the last two. Out of them, the first one would be easier to transition to though, as you are only switching one color (orange to black)

i used the second one for a while, before i switched to japenese (blue and yellow swapped)
i thought the thread was just for the normal colors, just in a different sequence 🤷‍♂️
i full circled and i currently use the normal scheme for anything other than 2x2 and 4x4

Ask @Bingus Ringus McDingus, I know that he knows. As far as I know, yeah, that’s what you do if you want black pieces
hello chat
I tried the W/B Y/R G/B color scheme on a virtual cube, and I quite like it, not too hard to be color neutral as well.
This is what I put on my B-Side RS3M 2020s, it works especially well for cases of protanomaly (red-green color blindness with red weak, which I have a mild case of) and low lighting.

Fair enough, we both are incompetent in our own ways.
Both? Yeah no. I've got solves posted on my channel that backs up me stating a subjective opinion you wanna argue about.

You have lied for years about 5style and have not a single piece of proof of doing anything but posting silly algs in alg channels.

Thanks for calling them "silly algs". Inspires me a lot with such kind words.

Well, how much do you know now?
Also, I get what @OreKehStrah is saying about not posting proof of 5-style, since it would be crazy for anyone to learn over 10000 algs to do 2-3 edge comms in a solves. It’s like that one guy doing 1LLL on vid.

Thanks for calling me incompetent while I have proof to back up my own subjective findings : )

I'm not saying that I'm with any side (which I am), but how can solving with different (random) colours be easier than solving with the same colours that always have the same relations? I just want to understand what you mean.
I didn't say random colors. Nobody specified anything about the alternate color schemes.

If you just swap yellow for black, that's a different color scheme. So suppose you have a white cross only solver.
They will probably adjust to solving on a cube with black opposite white a lot faster than if you asked them to get the same times solving on something like red cross.

Okay, colour scheme neutrality doesn't mean any colour scheme. Depending on how you define colour scheme neutrality, colour neutrality or colour scheme neutrality may be easier. I now understand you opinion.
