When you've finished your F2L and you're moving onto OLL, and you have to orient the case in a certain way in order to perform the algorithm correctly, do you turn the entire cube (y, y' or y2) or do you move the U layer (U, U', or U2?)

I do cube rotation. After trying it a couple of times, I realize I'm probably losing some valuable time with that. I'll have to work on switching.

Funny thing was, I had to actually do a few solves to find out, because I couldn't remember what I do. Even funnier - my first 4 OLLs were all correctly oriented, so it took a while. :)

I always hold the cube with yellow on top and blue on front, so use AUFs rather than rotations. As well as U turns being faster than rotations, the final AUF is that slight bit faster to react to. Red on front = U', Orange = U, Green = U2.

Isn't it much easier to move a layer with your finger than use your whole hand to turn the cube? Especially in y2's.

When I used Roux, after the first block, I always did a y2, and I got pretty fast at it. I would kinda hold it at an angle with only two finger, one on the top and one on the bottom, and it would naturally turn. It felt pretty awesome.
