i've been interested in doing an OLL parity and orienting the last layer at the same time. it only works when there is a parity and only 4 colors on the U layer that aren't the top color. i just saw. this about.. 1 hour ago at dan harris' site:
http://www.cubestation.co.uk/cs2/index.php?page=4x4x4/tricks
it only shows one, but i got the idea and figured out the other cases myself
i ran into a weird case, which looked like this
i spent a few minutes to see if there is a short setup move for it, and unfortunately, i haven't found one. however, i did find a very long one very shortly : (y2) L U L' F2 U' L2 R2 U2 (double parity alg) U2 R2 L2 U F2 L U' L'. so it's just a matter of setting up, performing the parity alg, and undo the setup.
this setup is terrible and very long. i just wanted to see if i could find anything, since it seemed tricky. i guess i failed
. so can anyone find a faster setup? or should i just perform the parity alg which would leave me with anti-sune? i'm feelin the sune on this one..
