New2x2 speedsolving method

... and the first step is shared with guimond.

It's not the same as Guimond.

In Guimond you start with 3/4 of a face of opposite colours (most scrambles have this already if you're CN), and then do a short alg to build *2* faces of opposite colours. Separation is again a very short alg and brings you to PBL.

Guimond is the best PBL-based 2x2 method IMHO. It has a reasonable number of algs, with great move-count. Separation prediction means that if you're good you can plan all your moves to PBL during inspection.

Learning tonnes of algs for a PBL-based method seems a bit pointless, when you're competing with something like CLL/EG.

Thanks for quoting me out of context >_>
I was talking about this method in 2 steps, which would be corner orientation, then PBL and separation in 1 step, hence, the corner orientation would be pretty much the same as the first step of guimond.

Okay. I'm gonna be lazy and do a quick upper bound on the separate and permute algorithm count.

I ciuld explain again why the number is 101, but since people obviously don't read the explanations I'm gonna be lazy too and just give a well-deserved :fp to all those who keep on posting absurdly high alg counts.

Sorry but this just pisses me off.

Cause whining and moaning is easier than contributing, right?

I wonder why I haven't read your explanation...maybe it's because it isn't in this thread?
