Hello everyone, my name is Mark and I'm an old cuber (in my 40s, been cubing since I first got a cube back in the 1980s) but new to the forums.
For a long time I used David Singmaster's method, with a couple of tweaks (I came up with the idea of keyhole F2L independently) and had solve times in the 80-90 second ballpark (yeah, not fast at all I know!) but the Singmaster method for the last layer is super-slow (orient U-edges, then permute U-edges, then permute U-corners and finally orient U-corners)
I've struggled with the CFOP method, I find I lapse into old bad habits ingrained over too many years; so to try to break myself of them I have been trying to learn the Roux method (and why not?) and already my PB is below 40 seconds, even using 2-look CMLL.
I live in England and I am a web code-monkey by trade.
