I know, I know. I'm slow, but gotta start somewhere right? :)
Name is Bujitsa (most just call me 'Buji' boojee for short)
Soooo, what's up everybody?!

Got my first cube a month ago, and piddle with it as much as I can (which isn't enough). Got 5 cubes currently:
1st was the super slow Rubik's brand 3x3
2nd was a Sheng En FII
3rd was a Dayan Zhanchi
4th was a Moyu Weilong V1
5th (and current fav) is my Maru CX3

I'm married, and work full time as an automotive diagnostician and technician. Long walks blah blah blah.
Glad to rummage around on your forums :)

Kinda thought so :) I doubt Feliks picked it up and solved it in under 10 seconds the first few months :)

Thanks for the welcome!

Well, he got under 20 seconds in a couple of months ;) Don't worry about rate of improvement though, everyone is not the same, and if you are married and have a job you will definitely not have as much time to practice as a teenager. Cubing is fun, so do it because you like it :D

Cool :) And I love the cube so far, and get happier every time my average time drops a little. Currently studying OLL and PLL. I've gotten F2L down to a science, just not 'fast' at it yet.
I also always wondered about others rates of improvements...

Everyone gets faster at their own pase, don't worry about it. Also, you can improve your F2L by practicing lookahead, or you could learn some finger tricks (You can find both online on youtube videos and stuff). Also, if you aren't making your cross with the cross on the bottom of the cube yet, I would since that will really help you in the future.

It's definitely harder to become faster when you have a life besides cubing. I know I was concerned with progress when I started a year ago.

Thanks guys and gals!

Is he gonna die or something? "I hope you enjoy your time as a cuber" lol

Lol?! I didn't know you guys could see the future... O_O D:

And got my average down 11 seconds in a week. Down to 1:19. I'm proud for myself, but nowhere near you peeps yet... ONE DAY! :D

I will say this! My best friend started cubing about the same time I did. We challenge each other every week when I go to his place. That definitely helps a lot. My wife and his roommate mess the cubes up and we go at it! ;)
