ok, so heres the deal, ive done Rubik's cubes for awhile now, and ive never really worried about how fast i am but seeing little kids doing my times is just straight up embarrising:fp, so can someone send me a link to a method that will get me on the road to like 25-30 second solves? -Thanks alot

Don't show your skillz to people until you are ready.
Bad choice if you do cuz you get owned by little kids that just come up and say 'I can do it faster'

We need some more detail too...
How old are you?
What method are you using now?

If you are using beginners method and getting about 45-50 second average then you are probably ready for the advanced method which takes a heap of patience and practice...

It's called the Fridrich method. Get enough practice and you will probably get 25-30 seconds. Maybe even sub 10!

Go to www.youtube.com/badmephisto

Hope I helped :D

im just using the begginer method, avg of 60 sec, im 16, umm lets see, i start with a white cross, put in the corner peices, do you know which one im talking about?

60 seconds is good, you should move on to advanced method, I think I may know what method you mean.

step 1. cross
step 2. first layer corners
step 3. middle layer edges
step 4. orient last layer cross
step 5. permute cross
step 6. position last layer corners
step 7. flip last layer corners.

is that the one?

Well thats not a bad time at all. Learn Fridrich. The main idea behind it is to solve the cube in 4 steps. Cross, F2L, OLL, PLL. F2L solves the first two layers at the same time instead of doing the top layer than the second layer individually. Saves a lot of time. OLL is the process of Orienting the bottom layer with one alg. I use two-look oll because I am too lazy to learn all of the OLL's then PLL is permutation of the last layer.

This, as you can see, has the potential to get very fast. Hope I helped.

I know a method for sub 10 potential.
It's kinda tough though.

ZB method. It owns.

really now? because heres the thing, when i was in junior high i showed a freshman how to solve one and he acted like he learned how to do it himself:mad: and tried to solve 3 in 3 minutes for the talent show, and he failed, EPICALLY, so, just to shut everyone's mouth about how much "better" he is than me, i want to do 3 in 1 minute for the next talent show:D

For my Talent show, I did it blindfolded and had a decent solve.

But I lost to a ballerina, a girl who sang a disney song, and a girl and a gay guy who sang a disney song.
They won 25, 50 and 100 dollars respectively.

You should sing a childrens song while cubing. Because it takes real talent to sing children's songs.

haha OH NO! illl never be fast enough! i cant sing!!:fp

I greatly recommend that you learn it intuitively. I personally know no algorithms for it, i do it intuitively. By learning it that way, you can be more creative and come out with your own (easier for you to do) algorithms. Doing it intuitively puts everything straight to muscle memory- not just a bunch of letters. i found a relatively simple intuitive tutorial on youtube, look it up, there are many. Good luck learning fredrich :D

thanks everyone, ill be sure to FWD you guys my sub 10!! thread! LOLZ:D

in order to get faster..

:drink plenty of water..
:sleep early..
