I really like the sail. I some times will use it over my MeiYing and Aolong V2. IMO get the ThunderClap, but the sail it really good.

QiYi Thunderclaps are nice, but maybe too fast. So I'd say get a QiYi Sail (they're really underrated)
Given the price, should I order the Sail with my Zhanchi?I really like the sail. I some times will use it over my MeiYing and Aolong V2. IMO get the ThunderClap, but the sail it really good.

Ok, sorry i was maybe a little bit overreacting. You dont need lube, and EVERY cube that is called a SPEEDCUBE is ok. the diffenenz is very tiny. people got 4 second times with a zhanchi. thats insane. And now they get 4 second times with the newest best cube. Oh, and you cant destroy a cube with lube, just wash the pices out with water,(not the core, because the metal screws can get rusty) and the lube is gone. Or you can use maru lube, its very watery and you put just 6 drops (or so) in it and the cube is fast, but only for about 1 hour and then the lube is gone and the cube is slow again. Kevin hays also only uses maru lube. me to. i like maru lube.Is lubing necessary? I'd imagine i'm going to do it sometime down the line, I have no idea how it works, which one to get, and how to apply it. No hate![]()
I'm going for more of a first speedcube, so not too fast. Would the Sail be good for that?If you're going to buy two 3x3's just get the sail AND the thunder clap, for the price of one Zanchi. The Zanchi is outdated. Feet solving is like the only reason to get it.

I've seen a lot of good things about that cube, but it's probably too fast for me, and the price is a bit more than I'd like to pay for a cube at this point. I'l keep my eye on it thoughZhanchi's need to be broken in too be good (a lot of setup and breaking in) it can be tensioned. I've heard that the Gouguan YuexIao is the best out of the box but really any of the more moderns speed cubes are better than a Rubik's.

Is it worth being twice the price? I know it's a good cube, but how much of a difference between the to is there?Any decent cube is fine for a beginner. I think the notion of a "good beginner cube" is a little silly. You'll have to switch at some point any way, so why spend the money? If you want my honest opinion, buy the ThunderClap, and that's it. If you have extra money, get a 2x2 and or 4x4.

Money isn't really a problem, just didn't wanna spent more money if it didn't make a real difference. I personally really want corner cutting above other things, I just didn't realize there was such a difference. Any other differences? I'm pretty much already sold.If price is a big deal to you, then the sail is absolutely fine. It's a very good cube, but it's corner cutting isn't great. Other than that, it's just as good as anything else. If you have the extra money (it's really not a lot) then go for the ThunderClap.
The bottom line is, the ThunderClap is an extremely good cube, very well priced. The sail is a good cube, for a cheaper price.

So it doesn't pop, corner cuts well, does it corner twist? I'm not fast enough for that to be an issue, but I just wanna know. Also: does it feel unstable? Some people have said the Sail pops, but I've only had like 1 pop on it. If you tension it right, it can be plenty fast while not popping. If money isn't an issue, go with the ThunderClap. You can't go wrong buying a thunderclap.
Watched some videos on it, corner twisting is rare for them (so I have no reason to worry about it twisting for ME) and popping is basically impossible. before I go and buy it, any little notes or anything? Do you guys like it?So it doesn't pop, corner cuts well, does it corner twist? I'm not fast enough for that to be an issue, but I just wanna know. Also: does it feel unstable?

Thanks. Does it feel unstable?Really the only difference from the top designs nowadays is the feel. It's a really nice feel.
Thanks. Does it feel unstable?
(Hopefully) One last thing, should i get it stickered or stickerless? the white stickered looks weird. I personally like the look of the stickerless, but there may be a difference, idk.
Ok, apparently stickerless cubes aren't legal in competitions. Did not know that. I do plan to go, when I get faster, for the experience at least.(Hopefully) One last thing, should i get it stickered or stickerless? the white stickered looks weird.
