[Member Intro] New-ish cuber, looking for people that understand what I'm talking about

Yep. There's an except in the regulations for it. It was a pretty big deal.
I bet it was! I was kinda sad when i was reading it, but now I'm excited, as I can use a cool-looking cube without a worry for replacement :D

So it seems like I'm good to go once I get my ThunderClap. Any suggestions on how to get my times down? I'm working on 4LLL, and F2L isn't a strength of mine.

F2L is really important to work on. Since it's intuitive, it'll take longer than your last layer to actually get efficient with it. Maybe watch some example solves to see cool ways to insert pairs that you hadn't thought of before.

Are there any specific webpages/videos you recommend? I'm not too great at intuitive.

As of now, I'm doing OK with F2L, trying to do as much intuitively as possible. 4LLL is almost all the way memorized, so that's an accomplishment. Also, my ThunderClap came in today, and DANG its so fast!
