hey everyone, my name is mackenzie brown. i just started cubing maybe a month ago, took me three days to figure out the first 2 layers on my own(it wasnt easy) then i turned to the internet and can now solve the cube at an average of 1:45 seconds. its really fun and addicting but im having a problem learning the advanced methods. i was trying to learn the CFOP method, witch i could learn over time, but im really interested in the "Petrus" method. my only problem is the petrus website doesnt work for me. so does anyone here have a guide or can help me with with learning this? if so thanks in advance.

Well, I don't know about Petrus, but to everyone that asks me how to get faster I direct them to solvethecube.co.uk Go to "Tutorials" then click "Getting Faster."

It teaches you some good things. I still use a working corner method though slightly more advanced- and it is pretty fast.

I personally prefer Fridrich, but the basic idea of Petrus is this:

Build a 2x2x2 block
Expand it to a 2x2x3 block
Flip the "bad" edges (I think this means incorrectly oriented, for lack of a better phrase)
Finish the 2 layers
Orient corners
Permute corners
Permute edges
