So Finally I decided to get a bit serious about OH,did 20-25 solves, then started timing myself, did an average of 5 which was somewhere like 55 seconds.

A few things I found interesting, please note this is just my beginning

1) I automatically started making z rotations for LU and did them as RU.

2) I do R3 for R' and U3 for U most of the times(yeah,I'm just not able to move my index swiftly to F and B faces to do U,and R' takes a lot of effort :( )

3) LL takes ages and I do y' R/R'/R2 for F/F'/F2 turns, and at an extremely low tps(what should be a good average tps for LL?)

4) Cross is way too many rotations, minimum 4

5) Using Index finger for R' (does anyone actually do that?)

6) F2L Insertions got better and faster in those 20-25 solves but setting up the pair still takes a long time.

Just one good thing,OH is really good for lookahead(atleast in the beginning) as I am forced to go slow.

So am I doing it right?Should I keep practicing this way until I get sub 25?Do I need to change anything or take care of anything else(turning style, grips, rotations)?

Do U' with your index finger, bring it to the FUL position and push forward.
Use pinky/ring for R'. (FDR sticker)
You can use the surface to help do odd turns.

You will probaly get confused by using R3 and U3. I suggest using your index finger for U'. Pinky for R and R'. For U you can do 2 ways with your index finger. You can put your index finger on the F sticker from the FUL corner. Or put your index finger on the L sticker from the LUB corner. I use the FUL way. Its very very hard at first and you have to practise very hard. So since your a beginner I would suggest the LUB way. ;)
