So i watched rubiks cube fan's tutorial on lookahead but i need some ways to practice it. Do i just go really slow and look for all the pieces. I tried using a metronome for 2 hours it was ok. I can consistintly find all the pairs at 132 bpm and i was practicing 144 bpm. Is this a good speed since ive only been practicing a short time. How long will it take for me to see an improvement. Thanks

Do you really need to make a thread on this with all the information out there?
Just practice, and keep trying to not pause during your solves, we can't help you any more than that.

You could try, doing 1 pair blind... look for the next pair and do that blind as well.

After a while try to find 2 F2L pairs and do it blind and maybe you can even do 3 F2L pairs after a lot of practise. It will help recognize the cases a lot.

I have to admit... I've never practise F2L lookahead, I just solved it for over 1million times and you will get better it at as well.

So what method you choose doesn't matter in my opinion (although one method can get you there faster then the other),but eventually you will get it.

im having the same problem to be honest.. i average about 32 seconds atm and im struggling to get below 30 average. i need better look ahead and better last layer execution.

my cross is still pretty slow too but that isnt really effecting my average times.

the other issues im having is akward cases. executing them is fine but doing it in the quickest way is not quite there for me yet which i need to improve on too.

your doing better then me though so congrats on that ^^

You know what to do, so you just have to do it. Teh P word son.

I average around 23-24sec (F2L 15-16sec, last layer 8sec) and have done so the last half year......little bit stuck....:(
A few days ago I made a special "dot cube" just for letting the brain working very hard to find pairs. I have not yet made a sub-25 solve with it. When I change back to the normal cube I have the feeling that it is easier to find pairs! ;)

Just practice slowing down and looking for an f2l pair while you are inserting another, do a lot of slow and steady solves to help with your look ahead. Make sure u have a cube with bright enough stickers to scope out and distinguishable pieces. I had this problem before I was sub 20 . The only way to improve look ahead is to look ahead and always keep track of the move you are doing and the move you are about to make. Hope this helped ,
