Need advice- Will my custom puzzles ever be made?

I ordered 2 puzzles from a reputable puzzle maker midway through last year, but I haven't received them yet. After the first few months, November 1st 2012 was the first promised completion date then all contact was stopped until I got a forum member to contact him on my behalf. At that stage I was told that only stickers needed to be created for them.

The last message I have from him is: "I'll finalise your puzzle and get them to you ASAP. I'll keep you updated over the next few days." That was in January of this year and he never answers my repeated messages!! Now that one of the puzzles I wanted this guy to make is now available at hknowstore I don't know what to do (a well-made 3x3x5). I mean, I don't want to do bad by the puzzle maker, but now that it is 6 months after the promised completion, I have been given no acknowledgement as to whether I will ever get my puzzles. Any ideas?:fp

question: does "a few days" mean 3 months to you?

if no: cancel the order
if yes: send me munai pls

If not, no problem. Send a message saying 'since you haven't responded to me in months I'm cancelling my order'.

I would try to get my money back (assuming that's where the problem lies). Give him a week to either send you the puzzles or your money. If that isn't met, make sure his reputation is given a makeover.

I know it's too late now, but if you paid by Paypal, you could have opened a dispute through Paypal. That will give the seller 20 days to respond and resolve the issue. If not, you can escalate the dispute to a claim and Paypal will investigate it and make a decision. I know from experience - I work for a webshop where I also deal with Paypal payments - that Paypal will always rule in favour of the buyer. So, that's for next time.

I doubt there is a money issue. I have never sent money for custom puzzles before they have been ready for dispatch but I have only ever ordered from well known puzzle makers.

I guess we'll have to wait for a reply to find out.

Thankyou for your advice everyone! Money was quoted, but never exchanged- it's just the principle involved. I have been promised updates and never had any and it is now 6 months after the second promised completion date.
I have now sent the puzzlemaker a final message saying that if I don't hear from him by the end of this month (April) then my order is cancelled. So fingers crossed that I haven't waited a year for nothing!

All I wanted was a couple of proportional, transformable non-cubic 3x3x5s (one as an extended 3x3x3) which I could make myself only I wanted it done properly you know? Anyway, there is an AJ 3x3x5 mod available from hknowstore which I am seriously considering purchasing.
