If scalpel podiums any blind event, I would incredibly surprised lol
He has achieved more than the top 100 fastest results in 4BLD in North America; he is 30 seconds ahead of the second-fastest 4BLDer in North America, and he only has two results slower than anyone else's ABSOLUTE best single in North America. It's more likely Max Park doesn't win 4x4 than it is for Stanley to not win 4BLD, yet I don't see you jumping at the opportunity to call out Max on not winning or podiuming.

You really can't get him out of your head, and I don't understand why you keep holding this grudge against him.
YOU even created this thread talking about the toxicity in the cubing community in today's age, yet you're part of the problem when it comes to blind solving of any kind and Stanley. You need to stop being so immature about blind solving; just because Stanley and other world-class cubers don't see the viability in 5-style doesn't mean you need to act childish any time they are mentioned in a conversation that has NO relation to you or 5-style.

You're one of the more influential members of the community, especially in India, yet you keep being so hateful towards Stanley, setting a bad example for any that look up to you. So please, take some time to think about your grudge against Stanley and stop giving in to the hate, and instead become a better role model for any cubers who look up to you. The community doesn't need to be fostering hate just because of your personal issues; we should support each other instead.

saw this on discord, hopefully it gives some context why stanley lives rent free in his head

Understood

Also just to be clear, I am skeptic about his chances,

There is nothing hateful about that.

I don’t see how. I mean for 3 and multi maybe sure.

Cause 4 and 5, based on his results on his profile even a mediocre result for him would get first (unless someone else gets a HUGE PR) because he’s so far ahead of everyone else. And even a really bad result for him with others getting big PRs, he would podium.

The way I see it, the only way he won’t podium 4/5 is if he triple DNFs, which is possible but given his track record and knowing the stakes at hand doesnt seem likely.

I feel it’s a given:
-Stanley podiums 4/5 bld
-Max podiums 4/5/6/7
Like the only way I see those things not happening is if they DNF the avg or triple.

Honestly everything else is speculative even Max podiuming in 3x3 IMO.

Sounds good makes sense

In 3x3, the top 20 seeds have PR averages below 6 seconds, so it is too hard to predict yo

Oh I agree the sprint events are so hard to predict. 3x3 could be crazy. I don’t think Max podiuming in 3x3 is a given. I don’t anyone podiuming in 3x3 is a given. I will say once you get past like 25 seeds, I don’t see anyone below that having much of a chance.

I only think Max is extremely likely to podium in other cubes because he’s so far ahead and those are less volitile events.

Points noted.

I do not want to spread hate, it is never my intention. If I have a problem with some incident, I will keep it to myself.

Hoping to becoming more professional and careful with small conscious efforts!

K I’ll make 3 bets
If Michael Nielsen is NAC Champion for Pyraminx, I will make a whole forum post about why Pyraminx is the best event and why Michael is the GOAT
If Matty or Max break NAR average for 3x3 anytime during this, I will change my pfp to a duck
I’ll be at the comp! I’m kinda excited!!!
Oh yea if @Discomantis gets into finals of pyra or 2x2, I will grind 2x2 until I get a sub-2 avg

And... I will be drilling 4BLD for a while now. I will start tonight after I get back to the hotel room after things are done at the Raleigh Convention Center.

Congratulations, Stanley!! I'm sure the result was disappointing, but it makes you 6 times 5BLD national champion and 3 times NA champion!

I'll keep my sessions here.
