A few days ago I ordered the Mystic Valk 4 M and today it arrived. Out of the box, it was slow and a little bit gummy, just like I expected. However, after nearly 100 solves, it still feels quite slow. I was expecting a really fast cube but I've been underwhelmed so far. Does it just need more breaking in? Do I need to re-lube it? If anybody else owns or has used a Mystic Valk 4, I would really appreciate hearing about your experience with it. I'm used to my Cubicle AoSu GTS2 M. I ended up wiping it down and doing a full re-setup on it a few months ago but it feels great now. So the Valk feels slow to my GTS2. I'm currently getting slightly better times on the GTS2, but that may just be because the Valk still needs more breaking in. On the GTS2 I'm getting mostly 1:03s but on the Valk I'm averaging closer to 1:05-1:06, and I'm not getting many sub-1s (although I've gotten like ten 1:01s). Sorry, I digress. My Mystic Valk 4 M feels much more sluggish than I expected at this point and I'm not sure if it's the setup, the cube, or just not being broken in. I would appreciate any insight I could get. Thank you in advance!

I own both the Valk 4M and GTS2M, though both are only standard cubes set up by myself.

IMO the Valk is a slower cube than the GTS2M, and I think that is inherent to the design/mechanism. So if you are looking for a fast 4x4 it might be better to speed up the GTS2M.

I also heard the Mystic lineup is not the fastest/speedy premium lineup from Cubicle, and I heard the Angstrom or Cubicle Labs lineup are faster, not sure which though. Bear in mind this is only what I heard and not my own experience since I didn't own any preimium cubes from Cubicle.
