I wasn't sure if this was the best way for me to address my goodbye, but I'd like some of you guys to see this.
For all of you that might not know me, I'm Garf, and I've been on this site for 5-6 years. I started speedcubing back in 2019, and over the years I've gotten to do some pretty cool things in this hobby. I've competed officially, volunteered at the 2025 World Championship, and gotten to meet cool people and make some awesome friends.
Over the past few months, however, I've noticed myself slipping from this hobby and having a hard time staying engaged with what's going on. I've been working on my job, college (at least, I was trying to stay focused in college :( ) and some other interests, like gaming and a bit of running. And it's very hard to stay engaged with something when you just don't have the motivation to continue.
This is also a goodbye from me on this site, and stepping away to focus on my own life. I've made so many connections with people here, and it's been a honor getting to know so many cool people.
One of the first people I've gotten to know was @Eli Apperson and @DuckubingCuber347. These guys have challenged the way I see and percieved speedcubing, whether that be staying engaged in one event or racing to be better in another. I really appreciate them for helping me get to where I am now, and I wish for the best of them as well.
Another person I wanted to shout out is my man @NebraskanSpeedsolver. I've known him now for a couple years now, and it's been fun watching him grow as a person and get better than me at big cubes. He has and will always be an awesome friend to me here.
Then there's the people I've met at worlds, and just being able to meet them is a cool experience for me.
@gsingh is another guy who's helped me get better at 3x3, as well as my friends Lucas and Caiden Lee. @Cuberstache is a guy who helped me out with megaminx, and just so many other people that I can't list off the top of my head. Thank you all for taking the time to help me learn and grow while I was still in my prime.

Where I want to go now in life... I want to stay focused on my job for now, but I want to get back into cybersecurity and math. A lot of the skills in speedcubing can also be transferred to those subjects, and I can't wait to take the lessons I've learned so far in life and apply them to wherever I go. I'd also like to get back into running, as I've been unengaged with that for far too long now. One of the goals in my life is to run a marathon, and I can't do that without proper training lol.
I'm not really good with words, but I hope you guys enjoyed my time on here, and I wish you all the best of luck.
I also made a video on this topic, if you'd like to watch that + see me solve some puzzles for the last time:
