My Clock method

Some time ago I managed to solve the Rubik's Clock without any tutorial, which I think is not so impressive though. After I first solved it, I outlined the same evening a first method (which was not very efficient the way I performed it; do the crosses on both sides, then solve the corners), which at the end of the day became really efficient (I could and can still solve it in ~12 moves).
Now, months later, I finally searched for proposed methods, and found Pochmann's, which turned out to be very similar. Here is a quick overview of how I solve the Clock:

1. Solve a cross on either side: set everything to 12;
2. Rotate the Clock (or do step 1 on bottom) and create a 2x2 square;
3. Extend this square to a Sune looking shape;
4. Solve last 3 corners.

As you can see, my method is a bit similar (my first version was practically identical!), the only difference being how you solve the second face and corners.
It's not really for speed, I believe. For now I'm not going to try, because the toy is my dad's.

I don't think it would have an impact of any kind for the clocking community, but I thought I'd share it and ask you: what are your thoughts on my method? What about other methods for clock (if any have been created, other than Pochmann's and Scherphuis')?
