Moyu Pyraminx Review

Stickers: Well coming to the stickers this puzzle comes with standard moyu stickers which are bright and the sizes of the stickers are different. The stickers of center pieces are bigger than those of tips and edges.
Cutting: It has a very good corner cutting and reverse corner cutting. This is mainly because the pieces have a pre-Florian modded design and it helps in improving corner cutting.
Anti-Popping: The torpedoes in this puzzle are bigger compared to any other pyraminx. It is next to impossible to pop this puzzle with good tensions during a solve and it is stable because of the torpedoes.
Tips: Tips are a bit tight and I guess I should work on it to make them a bit loose.
Plastic: Plastic used on this puzzle is a very high quality plastic. I felt that the pyraminx with white plastic is smoother than pyraminx with the black plastic.
Turning: It turns really smooth and fast and It turns better than a florian modded lubix shengshou.
Over all this pyraminx is way better than any other pyraminx out in the market.

Thought on the puzzle: When I first unboxed the puzzle, it was pretty nice. The turning was very smooth, though it felt like there was a good bit of friction. The tensions were a bit tight and were uneven. The tips were nothing to brag about. Adjusting the puzzle and breaking it in definitely improved the puzzle.

Pros:

The puzzle is very smooth and I love the feeling of it.

The design allows for much more corner cutting and it has less lockups and catches.

The puzzle rarely pops.

The stickers are (in general) nice.

Cons:

It does still have quite a few lockups.

The tips aren't anything special. They're a bit slow.

The red was a bit distracting after being used to orange for so long.

The puzzle tends to morph around a little.

Conclusion: I believe that this pyraminx is easily the best on the market. However, it's far from perfect, and I still think there's a lot of room for improvement.

Thoughts on the puzzle: My previous main was the shengshou so when I first unboxed it, I was like wow... this is fast! I had trouble controlling it but after a day I got used to it. It cuts a lot better (especially reverse). But out of the box, the tips were a bit of a con (e.g. either slow or sometimes the other layer moves as well as the tip which gets annoying. but after lubing the tips and working it in, it's fine again). I do have some pops but I have really weird turning. Also, out of the box, one of the red sticker tips were a bit misaligned so I had to just remove it and stick it back on properly.

So overall, this is the best pyraminx so far. I recommend it to everyone.
