I got this at a comp and used it for 4x4, and it was worth the $33. It was a bit tight but I love the strength of the magnets and the awesome corner cutting. I would love to see them make an unmagnetized version because I know some people don't like strong magnets.

I actually think the magnets are a good strength in the in slices but too weak for me in the outer turns. I want to replace the magnets inside of the outer pieces, but I can't seem to remove them...

why don't you just glue another small magnet onto the outer layers? that'll give it a little more strength.

With the slots in the way, would that still give me my desired affect?

Oh yeah. the slots...scratch that... here's a better idea: place magnets on the other wall of the corner piece and on the other half of each edge that meets up with the corner's other surface.
