MINI MAT vs MAT

Which would you recommend from Speed Stacks:
The MINI MAT or the MAT?

I don't have either, but personally i think the MAT is a little too big for just a Rubik's Cube.

Is the MINI MAT ever used in competitions?

Umm... the mini-mat is almost never used, except for once that I've seen. It was the video of Matyas' WR 5x5 BLD. I guess they used it because it wasn't really a main event. I personally got the MAT from cube4you for like 10 bucks. I'm using it and it covers my entire desk and works for a really nice wireless mouse pad. The only problem I have with that, is that it gets a little dirty... o well. It doesn't really matter, just personal preference.

They both do the same thing, protect your cube from being damaged when you drop them to stop the timer.

The mini mat is almost never used, so if you are planning to host a tournament, get the big ones.

The mini mat is perfect for practising, I find the big mat is just too big to have in most situations.

I'm sure it's better than dropping the cube onto a hard surface
