Mini Guildford Madness 2025! Competition complete!

I’d prefer if you had used your actual time, but I understand it kinda makes sense to use the replacement time, so you can choose.
Well it just makes sense to count the faster time, because someone that is slower in everything except like 2 events, can compete in only those 2 events and get a time, while someone that is faster but messed up the averages could get a slower average and therefore lose, when he is faster in everything
Edit: sorry for me English

I'm trying to figure out what to do about that. The replacement times were put in place for more people to be able to compete, because not everyone has the time/cubes/knowledge to compete in all of the events. I came up with them based off about what I averaged, making sure I wouldn't gain any advantage, but I didn't want to punish people for something they might have no control over by making the times stricter. I originally intended for it to be used if you didn't compete in that event, but I know that some people will get slower times than these times. Also, it's really not that big of a deal because there is a 94% chance of moving on, as there will only be one person eliminated. The rankings only decide the teams for the next round. But does anyone having any thoughts for making this system better?

can i use it then cause for most events im either the same avg, a few seconds faster, or much slower then them, and statistically i have a pretty bad chance of going to r2 (its not 6% and i defo didnt look at everyones approximate avg and spent ages tryna figure out my likehood of passing, which btw i determined it to be about 50 - 60 %)

Well on the percent I just did 16/17 lol. I have an idea. If you don't think you can get an avg under that time, then just don't compete in it. If you think there's a possibility (or just want to compete in it anyway), then compete and your time will be what you got, even if it's slower than the replacement time.

I really don't see the issue with letting people replace their average with the replacement time if it's slower

The main reason is that I wanted it to actually be competitors' own results rather than a set time, because there is really no point in competing in that event if your results isn't going to actually be what you got, idk
I mean it's not perfect but I think just letting people use the replacement times if they want to is the best solution

Ok, so here's what I'm gonna do. If you get a slower average than the replacement time, don't submit it and you result will be that replacement time. If its faster, than submit as normal. And if it's DNF, then submit as DNF and I will fix it. Thanks

Can I please take the 10 average in skewb rather than my 14.7 lol

@BenChristman1 if you want me to remove your results and for you to just use the replacement time I can

So sorry for the inconsistencies and speculation, but after thinking about it some, it would be better if you still submit and I will manually change the times slower than the replacement times.
