Mf8 Megaminx - Version differences

Hi,
Do you know the differences of the Mf8 Megaminx v1 and v2?
I ordered one, but i don't know if it's really a v2 (it turns very slow, though the tension is loose).

I checked the center caps, and its a v2, but why is it so slow, the turning? the tension is loose.
i can hardly do a u with my finger

Have you taken it completely apart to the core?

Start by doing that, then lube the core proper and reassemble and tension, that should help.

Also.. MY v2 had big blobs on the core where the stems are, doesn't help turning much now, so.. hence I am saying, check

Bear in mind, on a mf8 megaminx, if it isn't tensioned evenly, or if it is too loose, it will lock up like crazy. Also, make sure to lube the pieces sufficently aswell as the core.

Ok, I'll take it completely apart and inform you with my result. Anyway, is the mf8 v2 the best megaminx currently? (compared to qj,mefferts...)

Ok, but the dayan isn't available yet, right? And how is mf8 compared to the mefferts, qj?
Cause i hope, that the mf8 doesn't lock and turns easier after lubing and reassambling.

The Dayan minx will be available on puzzle addictions on oct 17 I think.

For those of you who want to know about the dayan mega, mine is in the postal system as I write this. When I get it, I will be doing a full video review (Black plastic, no ridges). I will say this now, bear in mind that it might not actually be the best mega out there. Considering no-one has tried it, it could be a complete flop. I guess we'll just have to wait really.

One more question: is the mf8 better than mefferts or qj?

They SAY so. I don't know to be honest as I was disappointed with the mf8 but with fixing it was ok
