The video for the averages. Insane that we have a sub-20 ao5 now. I wonder if anyone else even has this unofficially. If you know anything about Max you know he's definitely capable of this.
And I have failed. My goal to becoming the first person to becoming sub-20 officially.
To be fair, I hate 4x4, so....

Sevastian Weyer for sure yo
It's possible, but what gives you such and objective attitude? I can't find his PB's on the web and you shouldn't just assume someone's PB because their global is fast.

However, it is definitely more likely that he has a sub-20 average now than when I made that post a year ago (kind of a weird bump tbh) especially since he now uses OPA which prevents parity from ruining so many potential PB's.

He doesn't use OPA anymore.

1: former WR holder (took it from Max, right?)
2: If you follow Sebastian's media you can see (somewhat randomly) good times and infer from that, and also pretty sure lots of folks dont do the bulk of their practice on~cam...
and
3: other people posted to this thread yesterday so it was near the top of the forum's main page when I came looking and saw 19.88 haha amd all the rest flows like the Yangtse ♪┌|∵|┘♪

oh, and (potentially) it seems possible that thwre is a way (not OPA) to deal with parities during centers and edges i.e. pre~3×3 stage since both OLL and PLL parities result from an odd number of innwr slice turns... YT's "Cubemaster" partially addressed such in a video in 2021...

Ha but it will fall on someone else's shoulders to carry that burden, I'm doin pizza night! ⁽⁽ଘ( ˊᵕˋ )ଓ⁾⁾

💀

He just lost all of my respect.

That's correct. That doesn't guarantee he had sub-x average when I made the post. It's possible he has it now but not as likely then.

I haven't been on social media in a bit over 3 years so excuse me for that. Does he have a post displaying a sub-20 average of 5 on 4x4?
and also pretty sure lots of folks dont do the bulk of their practice on~cam...
You're absolutely right. I, myself, don't record many solves as I suffer from camera nerves. I never claimed that he did though. Could I get some clarification on the relevancy of this post? You can still announce, or even take a photograph, of personal bests not caught on camera.

That's fine, just make sure you check the date of a post to see if your response is relevant before you reply to it next time. : )

OPA is designed for 3x3 reduction methods. It's not it's own method, it's more of an extension.

I checked Cubemaster's Youtube channel and couldn't find him discussing a way to avoid OLL parity that wasn't OPA. There are other ways to do this such as in the Triforce method but Cubemaster didn't ever discuss this to my knowledge.

And what you are describing is OPA. Are you perhaps confused on what OPA is? If so I hope my preliminary sentence in response to this point clears it up.
